“so unknown nobody knows them” band: THE BEARS OF BLUE RIVER
statement: chicago is a wonderful city with a great music scene.
After Joe Pug (= god), from Chicago, now we have a new band from the city of “the loop”: THE BEARS OF BLUE RIVER. (I will never understand why the bands I like have these great names) About the music, the band does nothing new. But that doesn’t have to be bad at all when they know how to mix the things I love of the folk pop: catchy rythms, easy lyrics and charming sound. And if you add that the members of the band are from different Chicago small bands, a listen (and download legally) of the EP is worth it. At least, listen to bubblegum. I’m not asking that much, am I?
